"We are delivering a service based on our client's demand. You pay for what you use, which makes our customization scalable. When our clients' needs change, we change with them" said Michael Marlowe, Bluemile President and co-founder.
BlueBridge Networks, the Cleveland provider of data center services such as work group recovery, virtualization, cloud computing and managed services, has announced on Monday a multimillion-dollar joint investment with Columbus based Bluemile, Inc. to offer the most robust, scalable and secure cloud computing platform. The joint venture boasts state of-the-art architecture and service delivery for companies and organizations. Both companies were founded, are headquartered and operate in the state of Ohio.
Bluemile provides premium cloud solutions through its virtual data center, along with a variety of networking and hosting solutions.
While cloud computing is not a new concept, two facts make this cloud offering stand out from the rest:
- The use of multiple facilities ensures geographic diversity and optimum security in times of emergency
- No other regional data service center in the country provides this type of secure cloud computing.
"Only big boxes like Verizon have had this type of offering, until now," said Kevin Goodman, Managing Director of Business Development and a partner with BlueBridge Networks.
BlueBridge customers benefit from the multiple-facility concept, Goodman notes, because it creates more ability for robust telecommunications and disaster-recovery, business-continuity capabilities. "The fully compliant, redundant and secure Cleveland and Columbus facilities allow for geographic and power grid diversity."
A collaboration with Bluemile means that businesses and organizations no longer need to look beyond the region for optimum cloud computing services. The BlueBridge Cloud, powered by Bluemile, supports the growth of regional technology and economic development.
"In a web and data centric world, remote internet access makes it easy for IT jobs and dollars to leave the region and the state. By having best in class innovation in infrastructure and human resources, we are reversing the trend," Goodman said.
"Simply put, jobs, dollars and data stay here, in Ohio," he concludes.
According to Jamie Busic, CEO and co-founder of Bluemile, the BlueBridge and Bluemile's core competencies complement each other. "Bluemile is the virtual aspect, network, bandwidth, cloud, hosting environment," he said. "BlueBridge is a platform for the delivery of Bluemile solutions."
Jeff Levine, President and CEO, of BlueBridge Networks pointed out, "Our biggest competitor is old thinking. The old thinking is that you have to kill the competition. We want to work with the competition to get our clients the best possible solution."
Together, BlueBridge and Bluemile form a powerhouse in the state of Ohio that brings the most secure and farthest-reaching services to customers across the country.
This will further support strategic partnerships and attracting talent who can help maintain and grow this special collaboration, according to Goodman.
BlueBridge Networks, whose clients include Cleveland Metropolitan Schools, Olympic Steel and Southwest General Hospital, has reinvested its profits in growing the business while strengthening the local economy. In addition to its state-of-the-art, Downtown Cleveland facility, BlueBridge has a Mayfield office providing business continuity services.
