Cloud Migration Made Easy

Racemi to showcased technology for cloud on-boarding and migrations

Moving server images from the data center to, from, and between cloud computing resources like Amazon EC2, Rackspace and Terremark was on display at the 9th Cloud Expo.

Racemi showcased DynaCenter, its image-based provisioning software that automates the movement of entire server images, whether physical or virtual - including operating systems, storage and network configurations and applications - to another physical or virtual server or cloud computing resource. What makes Racemi's technology different is that it does not require modifications to the server workload.

The event (http://cloudcomputingexpo.com) took place in New York City from June 6-9. Racemi was a Silver sponsor.

"Migrating existing server images to, from and among clouds without modification takes the anxiety out of transitioning to cloud computing," said Lawrence Guillory, CEO, Racemi. "We make it easy to integrate our automation software for anyone that wants to add cloud on-boarding and migration capabilities to their offerings."

DynaCenter migrates workloads by comparing the configurations of the source and destination servers, and configuring the necessary network, storage, and virtual machine components as well as the necessary device drivers "in-flight" to ensure that the image can be run on the target platform, regardless of hardware or hypervisor platform.

Racemi has been named a "Cool Vendor" and has received other industry awards. The latest version of DynaCenter is immediately available for OEM partner evaluations.
